So we all know digital textile printing has almost had its day right?... but wait!
Natalia Grzybowski has printed stunning botanical designs straight onto super structured neopreen synthetic fabric in her latest Hybrid collection.
LOVE.

Went for a wonder through Liberty's today -walked with confidence but am pretty sure all the shop assistants knew I didn't belong! Came across a designer I'd not heard of before -Hermione de Paula. Beautifully floral digitally printed garments! Silky and lux with a price tag to match, but oh so worth it!
Had a quick peek at Paper Bow Studio's facebook page today, they allow designers to post patterns on their wall which is great, because that's how I found out about Sally Boyle! Sally has created some very beautiful vector prints. Reminds me a weeee bit of Catalina Estrada's work but not as detailed?... Take a quick peek at her webbie here!

LAST ONE!
okay I promise I'll stop soon! only two more to go...
Toni Lake -Amazing digital fabrics but you'll have to go to her Carbon site to see more! (I don't usually post images the artist has specifically popped a label over but I wanted to share as it truely is some beautiful work).
First up I'm going to gush about Ashleigh Smith grad from Heriot Watt Uni and her colourful contemporary digital patterns. LOVE THEM.
Had the best day today! Back track to Tuesday when I picked up my trusty copy of Stylist, flipped through a few pages and came across a mention of Joel & Sons Fabric store on Church St in Marylebone. Joel & Sons is an amazing couture fabric supplier and supplies fabric for the queen!

I absolutely adore Mary Katrantzou. I'm a huge fan of digitally printed fabric for clothing especially when the prints/graphics are placed around the form with particular stategic care to placement rather than an all over repeat. Mary is a London native, 27 years old and has just won an amazing award as a young creative. Her Spring 2011 looks are based on photographs from the 70's by Helmut Newton and Guy Bourdin -mostly interior/decor shots basing the room on the body, however I love her pieces with the giant chunky jewels and perfume bootle shapes wrapped around the body on beautiful stylised dresses. Very talented indeed, would love to get my hands on one of her pieces!
Completely forgot to post that I finally went to the Basso & Brooke exhibition!

Love their work! LOVE IT!
