My sister & brother in law just moved into their new house -so perfect opportunity to do some scribbles for them! (Not to mention the fact they are expecting a little one so I can do many more scribbles for the nursery walls!) Hope you're not reading this sis!

Stitched fashion illustration! Emma Cowlan.
LOVE Maryam Keyhani's beautiful jewels!
Canadian artist Dorion Scott, hauntingly beautiful, simple images and colour.
Must have.
I should've put a warning at the start of all these posts... Heres's another! Ruth Moilliet -sculpture/ 3d artist, love her take on flower pressing! I used to have one of those butterfly screw flower presses....
Another Brilliant artist I stumbled on at the Art show -Maria Rivens. Maria spends copious amounts of time cutting and pasting amazing collages which really have to be seen up close in person so you can see all the detail and hard work she has done!
Just fell across another artist with similar aesthetic as Ray -Mark Ryden except that Mark paints and draws minus the computer. Very dark and surreal.

Just got back from the Affordable Arts show and am bursting with inspiration! There were some beautiful works from very talented artists. One of my favs has to be Ray Caesar a canadian based (London born) artist who creates fascinating purely digital prints using Maya animation software, which I've been told is extremely difficult to master especially in such a way he has. (Apparently he takes tutorials in Canada to teach budding animation genius's).

It's one thing to see the works on screen but seeing them live in person in 'giant' size is a whole other story. I would LOVE to own one of his pieces -as cute and slightly creepy that they are...

If you have free time and money to spare I'd definitely reccommend heading to the show!

Went to the V&A today and spied a few new and interesting finds. Especially love the Fendi baguette needlepoint kit! Such a great idea! Just discovered Fendi is known for their DIY kits -would love the plain white one with the pantone markers!

A K I M O R I

Origin craft market was home to several amazing jewellers such as Aki Mori above whose work had a playful, fairytale delicatness about it. Loved the pendant!

T E N T

Took the day off work on Thursday and hit up TENT london -big design expo, really for designers to sell their wares to businesses and get into the industry -not for little ol' me's just being nosy... totally worth it though! Saw some amazingly talented people and their creations. SUPER JEALOUS of people actually making a go of it all. I left the expo in a mix of excitment and depression but the good kind that really gives you a kick up the butt to get moving.

Walked back through Spitalfields and discovered by chance a contemporary craft market Origin was being held which further cemented the aformentioned emotions...

Further posts to follow of some of the beautiful things I saw!

B E N E F I T

Ok so I don't usually spend a lot of dollars on makeup but I recently bought a couple of items care of Benefit that I absolutely LOVE. They actually do what they say they're gonna do! The Pore-Fessional is a great little tube of goop that helps to minimise the appearance of your pores which it does!! Smooth it on and you're good to go, if you wear foundation or cover up it makes the finish look sooooo much clearer. Also purchased the 'They're Real' mascara, I have tried so many but never managed to find a good one that won't clump, won't leave dusting under the eyes and is easy to remove. (Wow I sound like an advert! but seriously I'd reccommend either of these in a heart beat!)

She kinda reminds me a bit of a cross between Jenna Malone & (Princess) Kate Middleton...

O D E TO C O F F E E

It's been 18 days. 18 long tiresome days without coffee.

Ahhh coffee, no not coffee. Triple shot, skinny vanilla (sometimes toffee...) latte.

I never used to be a coffee snob -spose I can't reallyyyy call myself one as what I drink really isn't coffee after you've added the syrup... but I MISS YOU coffee.

I'M IN C H A I N S

Love this new rage of body chains coming out. Kinda kooky but keep thinking of some seriously cool things you could do with them! Simple two strands that cross at the front/back or a major design piece! oh so pretty.
