Side tracking myself from actual work whilst trying to locate a copy of a children's book I used to read at my grandmas when I was little... slightly difficult as the only clues I have to go by are the images in my head, a few keys words (summer, holiday, circus, fun fair...) and the era 1960's... no such luck so far BUT I have come across some amazing other books with brilliant vintage illustrations!
Very inspiring!

Just stumbled across this great vintage finder & seller Trish Hunter Finds
Love how she uses a caravan to sell her treasures! Especially the set up that goes with it -look at the crazy flamingos!

?

Hmmm Mr.Blogger. Am a weeee bit annoyed with you as you've made my stats counter revert to zero for some reason. Grrr.
Why?...

UPDATE: I take it back -obviously Mr. (or possibly Ms.) Blogger you have considered your actions and deemed them inappropriate therefore reinstating the stats.
Thank you.

I'll stop soon... but look! Colour!!
Birdies!
(to go with the flowers! )
((soon to go with the houses...!))
The beginnings of a pattern set for one colour print. I really like the outlines on the left but don't feel this would show up so well so have played with fill in the right.
hmmm what to do for the next ones?... birdies? mini houses?
More patterns!
(I should probably mention they are all in black so I can get them ready for one colour screen printing)

So I've been actively researching how to create pattern repeats using CAD software such as P-Shop and Illustrator (previous experience in this has been severely limited and rather a poor effort from myself!)
Here are a few of the fun geometrics I've been playing around with. Once you get the hang of it you just can't stop! Super satisfying!
