R O Y A L

Sooooo went to the royal wedding today! Well okay I went to Hyde Park to watch the royal wedding on the big screen! same thing right?....

Go Sarah Burton for the gorgeous dress she designed for Kate. Wills and Harry looked like Prince Charmings from fairytale land, but I have to admit I really quite liked Kates sister's Dress the best -it had a beautiful neckline and fitted perfectly.

Got to Hyde Park at 7AM! got the picnic blankets out and settled in with champagne, strawberries and cupcakes... the crowd was awesome, very patriotic happy celebratory atmosphere -I'm really glad I went! I can say I was there, I was a part of history! (Not really I know but still...!)

S E A S I D E

Had a beautiful Easter break travelling through Kent seaside towns! Even managed to find the sign we set out for -Ham Sandwich! (Ham & Sandwich are actual towns/villages in Kent). Spent a relaxing last day at the park with friends playing frisbee and having a bbq, hopefully the sun holds out for next Friday! Bring on the wedding!

I actually didn't think I would get all that involved in the whole Wedding fiasco but everyone is quite patriotic about it here so much so that you can't help but want to dress up on Friday in your own tiara and party the day away... I wonder if she will wear a tiara? she has to doesn't she?... hmmm

N E W M A N

Poor neglected blog. I swear I didn't mean to stay away so long... it's just I've been really really busy lately... forgive me?

Print Pattern is my go to homepage for all things patterny, crafty and inspiring. The other day there was a post about Sarah Newman of which I feel the need to share with y'all.

Based in South London Sarah is a grad from the Chealsea College of Art and Design and has some amazing fresh ideas for lamp shades. Using environmentally friendly resources she screen prints these great geometric shards of pattern onto wood veneer. Really beautiful and modern little pieces of work!
