I'd always thought the main reason to use/design digital textile patterns was so that you could create something amazing made up of loads of other amazing things in millions of amazing colours that you couldn't possibly screen print without going mad over layers and screens....
Turns out even the simplest of patterns are digitally printed these days (dots, chevons, single colour...).
I bring this up because I've opted to join in on a two day course at Auckland University in July in their textile department, learning all about using Photoshop and digital printing. I vaguely remember bits and pieces from a similar course I took one semester in Uni but I don't think I was really focusing....
So my dilemma now is trying to think of a theme so I can gather the base photos/marks/items to scan to create said above amazing digital designs... I have faith...  I also have a whole lot of time to think it over.
Any ideas feel free to let me know!
(Above are a few of my fav digital pattern designers).
